Perdue, Loeffler win big in Dawson County

DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. –Republicans in Dawson County gave incumbent senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler their overwhelming endorsement in the U.S. Senate runoff race Tuesday.
Perdue won the county vote 12,146 to Democrat Jon Ossoff’s 2,227. Loeffler defeated Rev. Raphel Warnock by an almost identical margin of 12,108 to 2,271.
But when the county vote was completed by around 8:30 p.m. the Democrats were holding a 7 percent lead statewide with 50 percent of the reported.
Dawson County Republican Party Chairwoman Seanie Zappendorf said she was pleased with the effort in Dawson. “We sent out a lot of emails and letters and handed out a lot of cards and it paid off. Our voters don’t want socialists coming in to the Senate.”

Mere days before the run-off election deciding the Georgia’s Senate seats for this term, David Perdue (R), current Senator and incumbent candidate, is preparing for the final push up to election day. Counties across the state have reported record turn-outs for voting during 2020 and it looks like this election will see more voters than usual as well.
Voters are also turning out to rallies and campaign events as well. With debates still going over the Presidential Election and voters asking for continuing support, Perdue notes that he was among the few Senators who supported Trump before he was initially elected. Perdue said he fought with Trump as he turned the nations economy to it’s “best economic turnaround in history.”
Going through options and ideas in fighting what they are calling corruption in the recent election.
It is constantly a struggle against the Democrats according to Perdue who said that he is continuing to do everything that Trump asks him to do for that support.
Perdue noted, though, that people who are angry need to support Trump and the Republicans, but they also need to get out to vote. With numerous registered voters in every district still not voting on election day, Perdue calls to citizens saying that they are trying to fight the corruption and make the vote fair. He said they are working hard but it is very frustrating that people are still not voting.
Part of the efforts he has been working towards, Perdue has spoken with President Trump on Christmas Day. Perdue noted the stimulus and support for small businesses, people, and those in need from the pandemic fallout.
Perdue went on to speak on the omnibus bill at the federal level and looking at the efforts of the president fighting for people.

Perdue said that Jon Ossoff has been paid for two years by the Chinese Communist Party. Perdue said, “This is another example of how the Chinese Communist Party is trying to influence American Politics. They got in Hunter Biden’s pocket, they got into Congressman Swalwell’s bedroom, and they got into Jon Ossoff’s ego and his ambition to be an elected official. For two years after he ran for the U.S. House of Representatives and lost against Karen Handel in 2017. The very next year they hire him and pay him for two years. He hid it from the people of Georgia during his Primary this year. He lied about it. When he got caught, he came clean and then lied about it again.”
Perdue said that Ossoff is not good for Georgia because he is being controlled and influenced by China just like Biden and Swalwell. He noted that if the Republicans lose these two seats, then Biden will absolutely ruin everything in America that we have fought for.
Perdue called on voters again and said, “Don’t do it for me, don’t do it for Kelly, don’t do it for yourselves. Look at the children and think about their children. This is what’s at stake right now, the form of America. What America will look like in 50 to 100 years is determined by these two Senate races.”
Time running out for early voting in Senate races

DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. – Georgia voters have only four more days to cast an early vote in the crucial General Election U.S. Senate runoff. Advance voting ends Thursday (Dec. 31). Election Day is Jan. 5
Until then, all voting will take place at the Elections Office, 96 Academy Avenue in Dawsonville between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Election Day is Jan. 5 when all precincts will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
As of last Wednesday when the Elections Office closed for the Christmas Holiday, 5,401 votes had been cast in Dawson County, representing approximately, 25 percent of the county’s registered voters.
According to the Georgia Votes website, approximately two million people have cast early ballots in Georgia. The election will determine which political party will holds the majority in the Senate during the first two years of President Joe Biden’s administration.
To flip control, the Democrats must win both races. If Democrat Jon Ossoff defeats incumbent Sen. David Perdue and Rev. Raphael Warnock defeats Kelly Loeffler, the Senate will be split 50-50 and Vice President Kamala Harris would be cast a tie-breaking vote.
765 in-person ballots cast on first day of voting

DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. – The county elections office reported today (Dec. 15) that 765 in-person votes were cast on the first day of advance voting in the General Election Runoff for state and federal offices.
Voters tend to turn out in lower numbers for runoff elections. By contrast, the November general election with President Donald Trump on the ballot attracted 930 voters on the first day of advance voting.
“It was a pretty heavy first day for a runoff,” said Brittany Payne in the elections office.
The Senate races between incumbent Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) and Democrat Rev. Ralph Warnock and Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.) and Jon Ossoff have major national as well as statewide importance. Republicans must win at least one of the races to maintain a majority in the U.S. Senate.
Just how important the races are can be gauged by the amount of money, particularly outside-the-state-money, the candidates have collected. One recent report shows that the four candidates have spent in excess of $400 million on advertising so far. Estimates indicate more than 90 percent of the donations have come from outside Georgia.
Advance voting will continue for three weeks. Election Day is Jan. 5 when all precincts will be open from 7a.m. until 7 p.m.

Loeffler blasts “radical liberal” Raphael Warnock as campaign tour stops in Dawsonville

DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. – Three days before the start of advance voting in one of the two most important Senate races in the country, Senator Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) brought her campaign to Dawsonville Friday. Her message to Republicans was a stark warning: “If we don’t turn out to vote we will lose the country.”
Loeffler faces Democrat Rev. Raphael Warnock in the Jan. 5 runoff. In the other key race, Senator David Perdue (R-Ga.) faces Democrat Jon Ossoff. At stake is which political party will control the U.S. Senate. Republicans currently hold a 50-48 majority. If the Democrats win both races, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris could cast a deciding vote to break any ties. Georgia has not elected a Democrat Senator since Max Cleland in 1996.
Dawson County is in Georgia’s 9th Congressional District, one of the most conservative districts in the country. As Congressman-elect Andrew Clyde pointed out in introducing Loeffler to the 100 or so people in attendance, “We are the mighty 9th Congressional District. We are 83 percent Republican. There are more Republicans in the 9th District than any other Congressional District in Georgia.”

Loeffler delivered an explosive no-holds-barred speech filled with the red meat many in the crowd had come to hear, referring to her opponent as a “radical liberal” and reminding them of his own words.
“He called our police gangsters, thugs and bullies and a threat to our children,” she said. “He also said we should empty our prisons, get rid of cash bail and turn dangerous, violent criminals out on our streets, leaving Georgians to fend for themselves while he waters down our Second Amendment rights. He said you can’t serve in the military and serve God. I resent that attack. It’s completely wrong. We will always stand with our heroes who have held the line of freedom for us. We have 700,000 of them in our state right here.”
She also said, “It’s not just the radical things he says, but the people he has celebrated. He invited Fidel Castro into his church, the Marxist, communist, murderous dictator Fidel Castro. He also celebrated Jeremiah Wright, the anti-American, anti-Semetic Jeremiah Wright.
She spoke about last Sunday’s debate with Warnock during which he sidestepped questions about his comments in support of Marxism and his willingness to pursue court packing.
“I gave him a chance to renounce Marxism and socialism,” she said. “He declined to do that. He wrote a book praising Marxism over 100 times.” Loeffler was referring to the 2014 book he authored entitled “The Divided Mind of the Black Church.”
“We have to stand up for our conservative values,” she said. “I have fought from Day 1 against the radical left, the cancel culture, big taxes and China. I stood up to defend innocent life, the Second Amendment, the border, law enforcement and the military and to make sure we put America first.”
She concluded by stating, “If we don’t turn out the vote we will lose our country. Together, we are going to stop socialism in its tracks. Together, we are going to save our country and the American dream.”

Advance voting starts Monday in high stakes Senate race

DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. — One of the most important elections in U.S. history will take place Jan. 5 when Georgia Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue face Democrat challengers Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff respectively in the General Runoff. The eyes of the nation will be on Georgia to learn which party will control the U.S. Senate during the next administration.
Advanced voting will begin Monday Dec. 14 and continue Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. until Dec. 31. All voting will take place at the Board of Elections Office, 96 Academy Ave. in Dawsonville. There will be no Saturday voting and the office will be closed for Christmas Holiday Dec. 24 and 25 and Jan. 1. On Jan. 5 voters will report to their respective precincts which will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

James Thompson, Rural America Model Democrat Candidate

From Wichita, Kansas to Roswell, Georgia – If Democrats have any hopes of recapturing The House of Representatives in 2018 they will need to reconnect with rural America. James Thompson turned out to be the picture perfect Democrat candidate. Thompson opposed Kansas State Treasurer, (R) Ron Estes, for the Kansas 4th Congressional district. This was a special election to replace Mike Pompeo, who is now the CIA Director. Democrats are trying to figure out how to reconnect with voters in the heartland.
Kansas is a very red state, so red that Donald Trump won by 27 percent and Pompeo won reelection to the seat with a 30 percent margin. Questions surround why a Democrat was able to get 48 percent of the vote. Estes won the seat with 53 percent of the vote.
During Thompson’s campaign it was somewhat difficult to recognise he was running as a Democrat. There was noticeable distance between him and the party. Also, what should not go unnoticed is that his campaign highlighted pro-second amendment, veterans, families, government waist, along with most of issues important to middle America. This kind of campaign could easily confuse voters that do not pay attention to part lines. But when it’s over, Thompson is a Democrat. If he had won he would definitely have followed the direction of Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi.
#BKP questions whether the voters in Witchita Kansas did not see Estes as a strong candidate, have already turned against President Donald Trump, or are they holding the Republicans in The House of Representative responsible for not repealing and replacing Obama Care. Democrats will continue to take the temperature of the country as they move towards the 6th district of Georgia, where (D) Jon Ossoff has the lead among 18 candidates. Ossoff’s campaign has approximately 8 million dollars to spend, thanks in large part to the DCCC, MoveOn.org, and liberal publications like the Daily Kos.
Lets to the comparable; A district in Kansas that Trump won by 27 percent, the Republican could only win 53 percent to the Democrat 48 percent. Now fast forward to the 6th district in Georgia, that Trump only carried by 1.5 percent and the Democrat has 10 times more campaign cash to spend than Thompson had in Kansas. If the Democrats win on April 18th it will set the tone for the 2018 elections. If Republicans win it will be just another tax day.

Former GA Senator Saxby Chambliss has endorsed Karen Handel in the 6th District Congressional race. Chambliss chose to retire from US Senate in 2014. Many feel this was due to moderate votes and willingness to work with Democrats made him too vulnerable for re-election in 2014.
Senator David Perdue, who won Chambliss’ seat in 2014, has endorsed Dan Mooney for the 6th District Congressional race. During Perdue’s campaign he referred to himself as the true outsider in the race. Perdue early on supported Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
Handel was one of Perdue’s opponents in the Senate race which Perdue ultimately went on to win. So, if Perdue is a conservative and Saxby was a moderate at best; you pick which candidate will go to D.C. and most emulate the Senator who endorsed them.

If you thought that 17 Republican candidates made for an interesting race in the 2016 presidential election, then you’re most likely looking forward to the latest updates on the special election for the US Congressional Representative of Georgia’s Sixth District, which takes place on April 18th. There are officially 18 candidates qualified to succeed Tom Price for the seat of the Sixth District.
HHS Secretary Tom Price
Price recently resigned ensuing his nomination by President Donald Trump as the US Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). After all Democrats from the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee boycotted the election of Price, the vote was then taken to the Senate Floor where Price won in a 52-47 vote.
Similar to the election of Price for the HHS, the special election for the Sixth District will be contentious, highly influential and debated among many. The 18 candidates running to succeed Price, include; 11 Republicans, 5 Democrats and 2 independents.
Republican candidates include Amy Kremer, Bob Gray, Bruce LeVell, Dan Moody, David Abroms, Judson Hill, Karen Handel, Keith Grawert, Kurt Wilson, Mohammad Ali Bhuiyan and William Llop.
Amy Kremer has evident entrepreneurial and leadership skills. She openly supports President Trump. Kremer and Jewelry Exchange CEO, William Doddrige, established a pro-Trump super PAC, Great America PAC. Kremer is also the former chairwoman of National Tea Party Organization, the Tea Party Express.
Bob Gray is an international businessman and investor in technology, and is on the board of directors of Ammacore, a network solutions company based in Alpharetta. Gray is a well rounded individual; he is familiar with service, he is a savvy businessman and he is a proud member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).
Bruce LeVell is an entrepreneur; he owns Dunwoody Diamonds USA and LeVell Properties LLC. He also has political experience, as he is the former chair of the Gwinnett County Republican Party. LeVell supports the President; he served as the Executive Director of Trump’s National Diversity Coalition and was a delegate for the 2016 Republican National Convention (RNC)

Dan Moody has military, leadership, business and political experience. He served in the US Army after graduating college and marrying his wife, Stephanie. Moody knows how to climb up the ladder to success. After the Army Moody began working at a corporation, that he later purchased after the owner’s retirement. Now that he has retired from running his small business, served on the State Transportation Board and co-founded a non-profit organization; he is ready to serve the State Government as a strongly Conservative individual.
Judson Hill presents impressive qualifications for the Sixth District seat. He was elected into Senate in 2004, and is currently a small business owner. Hill is a well-known Conservative that feels strongly about the opposition of higher taxes and government regulations. He feels passionate about a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution, in order to control overspending in Washington. According to his campaign site Hill proudly upholds family values, liberty and limited government, and he openly defends our First and Second Amendments. It is reported on his website that he is a promising candidate for a bright future in DC.
According to Karen Handel’s campaign site, she supports Conservative values and wants to fight for the people of the Sixth District. Handel was Senior Vice President of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and left after the Organization defunded then refunded Planned Parenthood. Handel has also served as GA’s Secretary of State. Before completing her term as Secretary of State, Handel ran on the Republican ticket for the Governor of GA against winner, Nathan Deal. Most recently, she ran for the US Senate after the seat was left open by Senator Saxby Chambliss’ retirement; and that seat was won by David Perdue.
Keith Grawert is an Air Force Pilot that seeks to restore public service in the public office. Grawert strongly supports US defenses and believes in the phrase, “peace through strength.” On his campaign site, Grawert expresses concern about improving the system of taxes, US international power and the replacement of Obamacare.
Kurt Wilson is a small business owner that is expressively tired of the rhetoric in Washington. He wishes to empower a government serving its people. Wilson specifically seeks to push forth an amendment for term limits in Congress.
Mohammad Ali Bhuiyan is the first Muslim Republican candidate for US Congress. Although it may seem unusual, Bhuiyan could be the first Muslim congressional candidate taking oath with the Quran. He is a small business owner, academic administrator, professor, and economist. He moved to the US in 1986 to continue his education at GA State University. Atlanta Business Chronicle named Mohammad Ali as one of the 100 Most Influential Atlantans in 2014.
William Llop is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with offices in Sandy Springs and Macon; and he has worked in tax and finance affairs for businesses and individuals all over the US. Further, Llop vows to work to defend the Constitution, secure the border and limit government spending.
Democratic candidates include Jon Ossoff, Ragin Edwards, Rebecca Quigg, Richard Keatley and Ron Slotin.
According to his campaign site, Jon Ossoff wants to send a clear message to the US that Trump does not represent his people’s values. Ossoff is publically endorsed by US Representatives, John Lewis and Hank Johnson. Lewis is the Congressional Representative for GA’s Fifth District. Johnson is the Congressional Representative for GA’s Fourth District. Ossoff has served as a congressional aide for over five years and has first hand experience in crafting legislation.
Ragin Edwards calls herself, “The Candidate with No Strings Attached.” She supports the regulation of education and healthcare on the federal level. On her campaign site, Edwards states, “We must work to make healthcare affordable for all Americans.” Edwards also expresses that she supports US innovation in technology.
Rebecca Quigg expresses openly that her number one priority is healthcare by way of upholding Obamacare. Quigg believes that Congress must work to improve Obamacare above all. She also states that she will work toward legislation to create debt-free tuition at public universities and colleges.
Richard Keatley is a veteran, educator and not a career politician. His campaign slogan is, “running for change.” He has served in the Navy and states that he will protect our veterans. He will also work for debt free public college.
Ron Slotin has over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, recruiting, government and international business. He is currently the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer at BrightWell Talent. Slotin stated, “I will work to help solve metro Atlanta’s traffic problems, support our public schools and protect our environment.”
Independent candidates include Alexander Hernandez and Andre Pollard. It will be interesting to know with which party each candidate will choose to caucus.
Alexander Hernandez is one of only two Independents, and explains that he is running as an Independent because he believes he appeals to citizens across the political spectrum. He wants to save Medicare, give servicemen a raise, rebuild our country’s infrastructure and create jobs.
Andre Pollard is an Independent candidate as well. According to his campaign site, he seeks to promote, “more women in technology… more inner city youths in technology… the American brand worldwide… start ups and small businesses… affordable health care…’ Pollard has no prior political experience, but is immensely passionate on growing the technical workforce in the Sixth District.
Inevitably, the special election of the Sixth District is potentially a nationally influential and the race will spark debate across the nation. As the race progresses and election day approaches, the excitement and tension will only rise.
