The Leadership Dawson Class of 2020 unveiled its class project–a mural painted on the back wall of the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame to represent the city of Dawsonville and Dawson County. The mural is adjacent to the new Main Street Park in Dawsonville, making it convenient to take photos in front of it.

The Leadership Dawson Class of 2018 celebrated its Visitor’s Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony! The park was the project of the leadership class and includes a gazebo, benches, picnic tables, swings, landscaping and a brick walkway with community member names who supported the project. The park also includes the Chamber’s mini-library that was built by former county commissioner Gary Pichon.

The City of Dawsonville and the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand opening of the city’s Farmers Market Pavilion and the fifth season of the Amicalola Regional Farmers Market. The City and Chamber were accompanied by special guest, Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black. The Amicalola Regional Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon or sold out. Shoppers can expect fresh, locally-grown produce, specialty baked goods, handmade items and more.
