FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. – Forsyth County Parks & Recreation is seeking community input for amenities to be featured at a proposed scenic overlook at Sawnee Mountain Preserve. The input process will be conducted online, and participants will be able to view a narrated presentation about the project as well as participate in a community engagement survey.
The presentation includes information about the project site, existing conditions and types of amenities that are being proposed. The survey, which is available through Sept. 10, and video presentation can be found here.
“We encourage residents to provide feedback for this beautiful overlook area at one of our most popular and treasured parks,” said Parks & Recreation Director Jim Pryor.
The proposed overlook site is located at the former Barker House property, which was acquired by the County along with 12.8 acres in 2003. For more information on the current amenities offered at Sawnee Mountain Preserve (4075 Spot Rd.), please visit parks.forsythco.com/Sawnee-Mountain-Preserve.
