Mabel A. Goodrich, 95, of Doraville, GA passed away Tuesday January 14, 2020.
Born September 24, 1924 in Danby, Vermont to the late Harry and Marie Tinney, she had lived in Doraville for the past 20 years. Mabel formerly owned a restaurant in Weippe, Idaho, she worked as a caregiver, and did whatever was needed to support her family. She was very giving, kind hearted and was devoted to her family and friends. Mrs. Goodrich possessed many talents and had traveled to 49 states, Canada and Europe. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Cecil “Bugger” Stevens and Donald Goodrich; sons, Cecil Stevens, Thomas Stevens; daughter, Betty Goodrich; 3 grandchildren; son in law, Clyde Colvin; sisters, Phyllis Jurnak, Frances Poore, Betty Jane Goodrich, Blanche “Jonny” Miller, and Barbara Tinney.
Surviving are her children, Peter and Karen Stevens, Doraville, GA, Raymond and Suzie Stevens, Middletown Springs, VT, Walter “Dickie” and Gail Stevens, Douglasville, GA, Deloris “Cookie” and Scott MacEllven, Summerville, FL, Cecille “Cele” Colvin, Danby, VT, Frances “Franny” and Dolphus Crow, Norcross, GA, Mary and James Pratt, Dawsonville, GA; 23 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 20 great great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held Monday January 20, 2020 at 11 o’clock at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Higgins will officiate. Mrs. Goodrich will be taken to Vermont for interment in St. Jeromes Cemetery at a later date.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 until 6 at the funeral home.
