Tigers Win Thanks to Harvey Complete Game

DCHS Baseball, FYNTV, Team FYN Sports

Trey Harvey was incredible on the mound as he went the distance tossing a complete game with the only run to come across for Lumpkin being unearned. The Tigers offense did their jobs pushing across four runs as Dawson took the week series opener 4-1. Jacson Rickett accounted for three of the Tigers seven hits while the Indians finished with four hits. Alejandro Narvaez looked good on the mound also allowing just one earned run on seven hits, but the Lumpkin bats failed to give him support. Lumpkin County’s six game win streak has now come to an end, while the Tigers find the win column again after dropping their last two.

Game Notes

Harvey dominated in this one as he allowed just four hits and one unearned run while striking out nine in his complete game effort. At the plate, Rickett finished 3/4 with a run scored while Colton Rucker, Julian Horner, and Joshua Priest racked up one RBI each. The three run fifth was the difference in this one as Lumpkin was only able to push one across in this one.

As for the Indians, Narvaez looked really good but unfortunately the bats did absolutely nothing for him. Narvaez’s bat did its job as he led the team with two of the four Indians hits. Hunter Davenport and Hayden Gilbert accounted for the other two hits with Davenport accounting for the lone Lumpkin run.
