DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. — An 11-year-old Dawson County boy was stabbed to death at his home on Young Place Saturday afternoon. Sources say his 14-year-old female who lives at the same address called 911 to report the stabbing and has been charged with aggravated assault and felony murder.

Sources told Fetch Your News the boy suffered multiple stab wounds and was still alive when emergency services personnel arrived but attempts to save him were unsuccessful.

Dawson County Schools Superintendent Dr. Damon Gibbs issued a statement on December 7 sending thoughts and prayers to the student’s family and friends. The Crisis Response Team is available to speak with students. Please contact the school if a child needs to talk.

Neither of the juveniles were identified. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Dawson County Sheriff’s Office will conduct the investigation.
