DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. – Two Dawson County students – one at Dawson County High School, the other at Kilough Elementary School — tested positive for COVID-19 today according to a notice published via REMIND, a private mobile messaging platform that aims to help teachers, parents, students, and administrators in K–12 schools to communicate with everyone at once.

The statement read: Staff is working with the Department of Public Health to determine appropriate steps in both cases. We are communicating with parents of all students that were determined by DPH to be quarantined for the next 14 days or otherwise impacted. Steps are also being taken to do additional sanitizing in those areas today and tonight.”
