Nathan Ingram is the newest member of the Dawson County Board of Education

DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. – Nathan Ingram is the newest member of the Dawson County Board of Education. A native of Dawson County, Ingram earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from North Georgia College and State University.
Ingram was appointed during a called meeting of the Board Thursday (April 2.)
He returned to NGCSU to receive an accounting degree then worked for about 10 years at a Gainesville-based accounting firm before going to work as Chief Financial Officer for the City of Canton in Cherokee County. Ingram was promoted to assistant city manager last month.
He is married to Julayne LeBaron Ingram, a cafeteria worker at Robinson Elementary.
Ingram will replace Will Wade, who resigned from the board to run for Georgia State House of Representatives, Ninth District. He will serve until a special election is held in November. The winner of that election will then serve out the remainder of Wade’s term which ends in Nov. 2022
School Superintendent Dr. Damon Gibbs said Friday, “The Board of Education had several quality candidates that expressed an interest in serving the children of Dawson County. Nathan Ingram will make a great addition to our governance team.”
