UPDATE: Dawson County roads: Proceed with caution

DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. –As of 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6, no roads in Dawson County have been closed due to flooding, however, there are several roads where motorists are advised to, PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION AND CONTINUE TO DRIVE SLOW. TAKE YOUR TIME AND MAKE SURE YOUR LIGHTS ARE ON.

The following update of roads impacted by today’s rain was issued by Dawson CountyEmergency Services at 11:30 a.m:
⦁ Harry Sosebee
⦁ Hwy. 136/Gold Creek
⦁ * Amicalola Church
⦁ * 73 Flat Creek Drive (City and specific to cul de sac. There is flooding, but road is passable)****

Below roads/highways have been cleared and are passable, however, PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION AND CONTINUE TO DRIVE SLOW, TAKE YOUR TIME AND MAKE SURE YOUR LIGHTS ARE ON.

• 62, 55 & 54 Pine Bridge Drive – 3 Structures Impacted
• Kilough Church Road – PW O/S
• Odum Chumley/Lumpkin Campground Road – PW O/S
• 1868 Thompson Road – PW ER
