John Calvin “J.C.” Bennington, Jr., 40, of Chamblee, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at his residence. He was born to the late, John Calvin Bennington, Sr. and Danny Kay Simmons. He was a loving husband, father and son, that loved UGA and Falcon Football and playing Xbox with his children.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Calvin Bennington, Sr and Danny Kay Simmons; grandfather, Calvin Bennington.

He is survived by his ex wife / life partner, Mary Sheriff of Dawsonville, GA; children, Kaedyn Bennington of Dawsonville, GA, Braileigh Bennington of Dawsonville, GA, Austin Riley of Kentucky; grandmothers, Betty Bennington of Chamblee, GA, Shirley Simmons of Doraville, GA; uncles, David Simmons of Doraville, GA, Webster Simmons of Doraville, GA; and numerous other relatives survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Dawsonville Memorial Gardens, Dawsonville, GA.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to offset future expenses for his children.
