Dawson Sheriff’s Office searching for armed robbery suspect

DAWSONVILLE, Ga. — The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office issued a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) following the armed robbery at Dollar General at approximately 9:40 a.m. today (June 24).

The Dawson County posted the following on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page today:

“On June 23, 2019 at approximately 9:40p a white male wearing black glasses, black hat, dark jeans, gray t-shirt, and a black jacket enters the Dollar General located at 6533 Highway 9 South, Dawsonville GA. This male subject walks through the store up and down the aisles and appears to be casing the store. A few minutes later, he exits the store. At approximately 9:43p, another white male with fair skin enters the store wearing a black hat with gold lettering (possibly some type of military emblem), black half-rimmed glasses, gray t-shirt, blue jeans, clean shaven and purchases a drink. As the cashier has the cash drawer open, this white male displays a black handgun and demands money. Money was given to the suspect and he then exits the store.
