Laura Fulcher is county’s new public relations specialist

DAWSONVILLE, Ga. – Laura Fulcher is Dawson County’s new Public Relations Specialist.
Fulcher, 38, earned a BBA in Marketing from the University of North Georgia. Her first day on the job was Jan. 28.
“I am very excited about my new role as Public Relations Specialist and to promote our great county and be a liaison with the community,” Fulcher said Wednesday.
Prior to coming to Dawson County, she worked in client relations in her husband, Charlie Fulcher’s law office, D. Charles Fulcher Law Firm for 11 months. Charlie Fulcher is also a Dawson County Magistrate Judge working under Chief Magistrate Judge Lisa Poss-Thurmond.
From 2013-2017, she was an administrative specialist at the University of Georgia who prepared budgets, helped plan reunions and communicated with alumni.
She also worked as a healthcare recruiter for Pinacle Health Group from 2011-2013 and as a project coordinator for Emory from 2007-2011.
The Public Relations Specialist is responsible for responding to citizen and media inquiries, drafting press releases and keeping the public informed about the services the county provides.
