Inmate escapes from Lumpkin Co. Detention Center

DAHLONEGA, Ga. — Lumpkin County Sheriff Stacy Jarrard reports that an inmate escaped from the Lumpkin County Center today (June 29). He was last seen wearing handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit.
Jarrard asks that you secure your homes and vehicles while authorities search for the inmate. If you see any suspicious activity, please call 911 immediately.
