Premier Surplus Held Grand Opening Wednesday

DAWSONVILLE, Ga. – Premier Surplus, an electric recycling, asset management and data destruction company held a grand opening at its massive 141,000-square foot facility at 12 Asset Management Way, just off Lumpkin Campground Road on Wednesday.

The company, which employees about 60 full-time workers, moved from a much smaller facility in Ball Ground to Dawson County in April. City and county officials were on hand as company president Phillip Kennedy and his wife Stephanie, the company’s Chief Financial Officer gave welcoming speeches then took guests on a guided tour through the warehouse.

Premier Electronics recycling operation recycles mainframes, typewriters, cell phones, medical and lab equipment, desktops, laptops, printers, monitors and televisions. In other words, just about anything that plugs into a wall or takes AC adapter.

The company also provides hard drive shredding solutions for government agencies and corporations in the Southeast, using a dual pass shred system that meets all NIST 800-88 and HIPAA standards for hard drive shredding and can shred over 125 hard drives per minute.

Premier Surplus, Inc. has the largest Georgia based logistics fleet servicing the electronic recycling industry.  They maintain a fleet of box trucks and tractor trailers to service the entire state of Georgia while our transportation partners enable Premier Surplus, Inc. to cover the Southeast and beyond. Phillip Kennedy said the company focuses on providing a secure chain-of-custody protection. Customer sign-off prior to departure is required then the trucks are sealed prior to departure for the recycling center.
