Dawson County Woman Reported Missing; Authorities Seeking Public’s Help

DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. – Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Dawson County woman who has been reported missing.

According to the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, Diaja Benson of Dawsonville was reported missing after leaving her home in Dawson County on February 14, 2026.

Officials said Benson was initially believed to be driving a gray 2013 Kia Forte bearing Georgia registration SMX0023. However, authorities have since indicated she is no longer traveling in that vehicle.

Investigators believe Benson may be in the company of Loron Spaulding, 38. She was reportedly seen in Atlanta on February 24, but remains listed as a missing person until law enforcement can make direct contact and confirm her safety.
