DAWSONVILLE, Ga. – A traffic stop in Cumming, Georgia ultimately led to the arrest of two individuals after the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office notified Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and the Cumming Police Department of a ‘theft from a vehicle that occurred at the outlet mall in Dawsonville’.
According to the Cumming Police Department, the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office gave detailed descriptions of the vehicle that left the scene and the items that were stolen from the vehicle at the outlets.
“At 4:24pm, Officer Dailey observed a vehicle matching the description given by Dawson County Sheriff’s Office traveling south on Highway 400 near exit 15,” wrote the Cumming Police Department.
This led officers to conduct a traffic stop. During the stop, the officers searched the vehicle after the driver gave consent and discovered items in the vehicle matching the description given by Dawson County Sheriff’s Office as missing and stolen.
The driver and passenger were both arrested and turned over to the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office.
