LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. – Lumpkin County Fire Station No. 7 (Frogtown) is now being staffed around the clock.
“We have some exciting news and a big step forward for our Emergency Services Department,” Fire Chief David Wimpy said last week. “We are pleased to be able to offer full time staffing at this station. It expands our response capabilities, especially for the northeast portion of the county including the Blood Mountain area.
“When the station was initially built, staff quarters were not completed, but the county’s Public Buildings team has been working hard to finish out that portion of the building,” he added. “With the installation of phone and internet service, we are pleased to be able to move staff and equipment into the building full time.”
