DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. – During the late afternoon of Tuesday (May 19) the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office 911 Center received a call reporting that a body of a white male had been found on the Amicalola River. The body was discovered by a couple who were kayaking.
Dawson County Sheriff’s Office Investigators, along with the Department of Natural Resources Game Wardens responded and recovered the body. A cause of death is not apparent at this time. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the investigation.
