Billy R. Roland: Obituary

Billy R. Roland, 74, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday February 29, 2020 following a period of declining health.
Born February 22, 1946 to the late Earl and Ida Mae Roland, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Billy retired after many years of service with the Georgia Department of Transportation. An extremely devoted husband, he was a friend to everyone who knew him. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and having breakfast with his friends at Bojangles. Billy was also preceded in death by his sisters, Nora Neal, Bobbie Duncan, Betty Waters, Lorene Ayers and brothers, Dewey Roland and Jimmy Roland.
Surviving are his wife, Annie Roland of Dawsonville; sister, Jean Bryant of Cumming; sons, Anthony (Debra) Roland, Emmanuel Roland; grandsons, Shawn Roland, Austin Roland; other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 3, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Juno Baptist Church. Rev. Tommy Weldy and Rev. Tim Biddy will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday March 2 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
