Jimmy Roland, 81, of Dahlonega passed away Wednesday February 5, 2020 at Gold City Nursing Home following a period of declining health.
Born September 25, 1938 to the late Earl and Ida Mae Roland, he was a native of Dawson County and had lived in Lumpkin County a number of years. Jimmy enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his pets. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Nora Neal, Bobbie Duncan, Betty Waters, Lorene Ayers; and a brother, Dewey Roland.
Surviving are his brother and sister in law, Billy and Annie Roland, Dawsonville; sister, Jean Bryant, Cumming; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Services will be announced later.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
