DAWSON COUNTY FIRE RULED ARSON

ATLANTA – A fire investigator with the Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner’s Office has determined that an
RV fire which occurred just before midnight on Monday, September 2, in Dawson County was intentionally set.
“The RV was parked at 476 Henry Pirkle Drive in Dawsonville, Georgia, when the fire began,” said Safety Fire
Commissioner John F. King. “It appears that the aluminum 60’s model RV was broken into before the fire was set.
No utilities were connected at the time and major damage occurred to the RV.”

Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King is asking anyone with knowledge about this fire to call the Arson Hotline at
1‐800‐282‐5804. Rewards are offered of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the
arsonist(s). Calls are taken 24 hours a day and callers can choose to remain anonymous.
The Dawson County Fire Department is assisting with this investigation.
