Lola Marie Pugh: Obituary

Lola Marie Pugh, 81, of Dawsonville, GA passed away on Monday, May 22, 2018 at Tanglewood Assisted Living, Dawsonville, GA, after an extended illness. She was born to the late Junia and Lillie Belle Chastain. She was raised in Gainesville, GA where she graduated as an honor graduate from Gainesville High School in 1954. She retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Dawsonville, GA where she was a Sunday school teacher and Deacons wife for many years. Lola will be remembered for her caring heart and beautiful smile.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Pugh; brother, Paul Chastain; and all of Charlie’s brothers and sisters and their spouses.

She is survived by her children, Connie and Rick Wiggins of Dawsonville, GA; Donna and Jerry Thompson of Canton, GA, Kay Pugh of Dawsonville, GA; grandchildren, Candi and Justin, Jennifer and Jon, Jana and Daniel, Daniel and Kendra, Kaleb, Cooper; great grandchildren, Madison, Carsen, Lillie, Lola, Adaline, Ava, Corbin, Coleman and Kinley; brothers, Ray and Linda Chastain, David and Sheila Chastain; sister, Sarah and Larry Chapman; and special friend Frank McCurdy and numerous other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, Dawsonville, GA with the Reverends, Dennis Bottoms, Jerry Fraizer, Stephen Davis, and Cory Gilleland officiating. Interment will follow the service at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until noon at Bearden Funeral Home, Dawsonville, GA.
