Authorities Release Description of Car Involved in Fatal Hit-and-Run

DAWSONVILLE, Ga. – Authorities now have a general description of the vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run Monday evening in Dawson County.

According to the Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team, they are searching for either a 2009 or 2010 Mercury Mariner or Ford Escape that has damage to the front passenger side.

Bobby Eugene Wells, 80, of Dawsonville was killed while walking from the Chestatee Worship Center across Dawson Forest Road.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Georgia State Patrol Post 37 in Cumming at (770) 205-5400.
