Charles W. King, III, 57 of Dawsonville passed away Thursday August 31, 2017 at his residence following a sudden illness.
Born February 3, 1960 in Houston, Texas, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 15 years having moved from Decatur. Mr. King worked as a mortgage banker for 10 years after which he was employed at Lowe’s in Cumming. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. King, Jr.
Surviving are his companion, Betsy Padgett, Dawsonville; mother, Barbara King, Dawsonville; brother, Paul King, Dawsonville; stepmother, Sandie King, Florida; stepsister, Susan Arvesen Jensen, Illinois; niece, Savannah King; nephews, Payton King, Zach King; his special dogs, Cozmo and Roxie; his former classmates from West Lafayette High School in Indiana and numerous friends.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday September 23, 2017 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends on Saturday September 23 beginning at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Dawson County Humane Society, 633 Martin Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
