Mr. David P. “Butch” Cane: Obituary

David P. “Butch” Cane, 57, of Dawsonville passed away Friday June 9, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness.

Born August 29, 1959 in Norwich, New York to the late David E. and Alice Cane, he lived in Dawson County for the past three years having moved from Lumpkin County. Mr. Cane was formerly employed as a painter. He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Latty, sister, Nancy Seabolt, and a brother, Robert “Bobby” Cane.

Surviving are his wife, Rita Cane, Dawsonville; children, David Schwalls, Dover, FL, Joseph Ricor, Clarkesville, Christine Pilling, Clarkesville, Jamie Pilling, Clarkesville; and 13 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on June 17, 2017 at 12 noon at the small pavilion at Lake Winfield Scott.
