Judge Andrew Napolitano Doubles Down on Fox News, Obama Used British Intelligence in Trump Surveillance

After President Trump’s tweet accusing President Barack Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower; Judge Andrew Napolitano reported on Fox News. Napolitano stated that he had three sources from the intelligence community claiming President Obama had Trump Tower under surveillance using GCHQ, a British spy agency, so there would be no Obama Administration fingerprints.

After a nine day suspension Napolitano returned to Fox News, where in an interview with Bill Hammer he doubled down on his original claims. Hammer asked Napolitano how confident he was and if he still stood by his original statements. Napolitano told Hammer that he was confident in his report and he still stands by the statements of his sources. Napolitano also stated, “The American public needs to know more about this rather than less because a lot of Government surveillance authorities will expire in the fall and there will be a great debate about how much authority we want the government to have to surveil us.” He later stated, “I think a lot more is going to come.”

Former Obama Deputy Secretary of Defence, Evelyn Farkas, may have made a stunning admission, with MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski “If they found out how we know what we know about the Trump staff dealing with Russians, that they would try to compromise those sources and methods, meaning we would no longer have access to that intelligence.” Farkas’ statement corroborates a New York Times article from early March.
