Mildred Crane, 85, of Dawsonville passed away Friday September 16, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 24, 1930 to the late Joe and Bethie Strickland, she lived most of her life in Dawson County. A homemaker at her death, she worked at the Corner Café for over 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, baking strawberry cakes and loved spending time with her family. Mildred was of the Baptist faith and was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Billy Crane, five sisters and two brothers.
A special thanks goes to her caregivers, Mae Powell, Terri Reece and Deana Lingerfelt.
Surviving are her son and daughter in law, Marcus and Lynda Crane, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Mark and Amanda Crane, Dawsonville, Ashley and Johnny Trammell, Dawsonville; great grandchildren, Breanna Crane, Braden Crane, Isabella Trammell, Tanner Trammell; special sister in law, Monnie Chester; special friend, Jewell Reeves; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday September 18, 2016 at 3 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Brody Hughes will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 11 a.m. until the 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
