Matthew Lee Wilson, 42, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday July 16, 2016 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a short illness.
Born September 13, 1973, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Matthew was a 1992 graduate of Dawson County High School and attended DeVry University and Lanier Tech. He formerly owned and operated Wilson Contracting. A member of Liberty Baptist Church, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde Disharoon, Garvis and Glenda Wilson; and an aunt, Janie Odom.
Surviving are his son, Cale Lee Wilson, Dawsonville; parents, David and Cathy Wilson, Dawsonville; brother, Michael Wilson, Dawsonville; grandmother, Oletta Disharoon, Dawsonville; special cousin, Shawn Kilgore, Dawsonville; uncles and aunts, David and Regina Disharoon, Danny and Eulene Disharoon, Gary and Nancy Disharoon; and a number of other relatives.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
