Bobbie T. Owen: Obituary

Bobbie T. Owen, 74, of Dawsonville passed away Monday May 16, 2016 at Chestnut Ridge Nursing Center following an extended illness.

Born May 24, 1941 in Forsyth County to the late Edgar and Callie Turner, she had lived in Dawson County since 1956. A homemaker at her death, she was formerly employed at Sweet-Orr. Bobbie was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by her brothers, E. C. “Bud” Turner and Wayne Turner.

Surviving are her children, Tim Samples, Dawsonville, Donna and John Tolleson, Huntsville, AL, Denise and Jeff Evans, Dawsonville; 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sisters and brother in law, Virginia Lamb, Cumming, Valaree Walls, Dawsonville, Dean and Jimmy Gravitt, Cumming; sister in law, Bernice Turner, Clayton, GA.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 18, 2016 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ruel Martin and Rev. Kyle Lamb will officiate. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 8 and Wednesday from 11 until 2 at the funeral home.
