George “Goody” Goedhart, 70, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday March 5, 2016 following a sudden illness.
Born November 23, 1945, Mr. Goedhart lived most of his life in East Rutherford, New Jersey. He spent his working career as a carpenter where he was a member of Local 15. Prior to his carpentry work he spent a number of years in the music industry as a drummer where he played with many recording artists and toured with the band Salvation. He also owned several night clubs. Always being known as quite the character, Goody had many interests which included collecting vintage cars, riding Harleys and racing boats. He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Peter Goedhart.
Mr. Goedhart is survived by his companion of 29 years, Deborah Maxwell of Dawsonville.
Private services will be held.
