Kenneth Eddie Reed, 66, of Dawsonville passed away Monday August 10, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born February 15, 1949, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Kenneth was a retired truck driver and member of Amicalola Baptist Church. A dedicated husband, father and grandfather, he was preceded in death by his sons, Bo Reed and Jerry Reed; and father, Gus Reed.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Sherry Reed, Dawsonville; children, Kathy and Wayne Lipham, Cumming, Patsy Hurst, Dawsonville, Kevin and Teresa Reed, Dawsonville, Michele and Alex Morales, Dawsonville; mother, Eunice Reed, Dawsonville; sister, Sherry Phillips, Dawsonville; brothers and sisters in law, Larry and Donna Reed, Dawsonville, Ronnie Reed, Dawsonville, Ricky and Kelly Reed, Dawsonville; 15 grandchildren, a great granddaughter and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Friday August 14, 2015 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Jeff Browning will officiate. Interment will follow in the Amicalola Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 until 8 and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 8 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to assist the family with final expenses.
