Mabel Pettyjohn, 92, of Big Canoe passed away Sunday August 2, 2015 at Wildwood Health Care following a period of declining health.
Born November 9, 1922 in Warren County, GA to the late Roy V. and Eva Farr, she lived most of her life in Athens before moving to Big Canoe over 20 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. “Luke” Pettyjohn.
Surviving is her daughter, Carol Hitt, Ellijay.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday August 5, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Big Canoe Cemetery. Rev. Roland Nelson will officiate.
