Mr. Pheron “Glen” Turner: Obituary

Mr. Pheron “Glen” Turner, age 82, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Embracing Hospice in Cumming. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Kent Turner.

Remaining family members include his daughter, Nancy Turner of College Station, TX; step-children, June and Stanley Mathews of Dawsonville and Roy and Jackie Brooks of Gainesville; sister, Demeris Crook of Conyers. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Corinth Baptist Church with Reverend Leroy Kelly, Reverend Huey Holloway, Reverend Richie Gibbs, and Reverend Rodney Pilcher officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Jerry Brooks, Ralph Mathews, Wayne Anderson, Joe Kent, Tony Kent, and Dean Cantrell.

The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015. The family will accept flowers or contributions can be made to the Corinth Baptist Church or Embracing Hospice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home.
