Mary Alice Kapise

July 07, 1948 – November 30, 2018

Mary Alice Kapise, age 70 of Cleveland, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018. Mrs. Kapise was born in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Charlie Will and Virginia Lynch Franklin. She resided in Macon, Georgia as well as Lizella, Georgia before moving to White County in 1986. Mrs. Kapise was of the Methodist faith and loved doing her crafts such as sewing and painting.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step son Danny Kapise.

Mrs. Kapise is survived by her husband Thomas Kapise Sr. of Cleveland; her daughter Jennifer Tomlin of Cleveland; step son Barry Kapise of Manchester, Tennessee, step daughter Tammy Pettinato of LaVerne, Tennessee, and Tommy Kapise Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in law Frances (Bruce) Hawkins of Pontotoc, Texas and brother and sister-in law Billy (Ann) Franklin of Thomaston, Georgia; her granddaughters Lexi and Aly Tomlin; as well as 15 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M Saturday, December 8, 2018 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Elrod officiating.

Flowers will be accepted or a donation may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950.

Mary Elizabeth Thomason Seitz: Obituary


Mary Elizabeth Thomason Seitz, 86, of Dahlonega passed away Wednesday October 10, 2018 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Born and raised in Clermont, Ga., Mary lived most of her life in Forsyth County until moving to Dahlonega in 2005. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Cumming. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Seitz; parents, Charley and Idell Thomason; brothers, Harold Thomason, Charles Thomason; sisters, Eris Thomason, Martha Ann Wylie.
Surviving are her sons and daughter in law, Tommy Seitz, Dahlonega, Robby and Michelle Seitz, Cumming; daughters and sons in law, Becky and Roger Townley, Cumming, Linda and Norris Hughes, Dawsonville, Vanessa and Lamar Day, Dawsonville; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Sunday October 14, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Brody Hughes, Rev. Johnathan Seitz, Rev. Austin Seitz and Rev. Roger Townley will officiate. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Dahlonega.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday October 13 from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Sunday until the hour of service.

Mary Jo Styles: Obituary


Mary Jo Styles, 83, of Dawsonville passed away Friday October 5, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born September 14, 1935 in Forsyth County, she lived in Dawson County since 1976 having moved from Atlanta. Mrs. Styles retired as a loan officer with C & S National Bank following 35 years of service. She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her sisters, Libby Hamby and Sue Gravitt.
Surviving are her husband of over 60 years, William A. “Bill” Styles, Dawsonville; son and daughter in law, Ken and Ann Styles, Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Michael Boyd, Hannah Styles, Robert Styles, Emily Styles; brother, Bobby Turner, Cumming; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 9, 2018 at 1 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Phil DeMore and Rev. C. R. Hill will officiate. Interment services will be held Wednesday October 10, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Georgia National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
