PRESS RELEASE-
We were proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the new Baseball and Softball fields at Dawson County High School, officially known as “Thunder Alley.” These incredible facilities are a true testament to what can be accomplished when a community comes together with a shared vision.
A heartfelt thank you to the Dawson County School System Board of Education, Superintendent Nicole LeCave, Principal Michael Negley, Carroll Daniel Construction, and everyone who poured their time, talent, and heart into making Thunder Alley a reality. We also want to recognize the coaches and student-athletes whose dedication, hard work, and school pride truly bring these fields to life—this space was built with you in mind.
These state-of-the-art fields were made possible through ESPLOST dollars—the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, which allows local tax dollars to be reinvested directly into Dawson County Schools for facilities and improvements.
We’re proud to support projects that strengthen education, athletics, and community pride in Dawson County.
