PRESS RELEASE
FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Units from Fire Stations 1, 2, 4, 6 and 7 were dispatched to 11 Ridge Road at 12:05 PM. First units arrived and found a residential structure 80 percent engulfed with heavy fire. Personnel made an aggressive attack on the fire and were able to bring it under control.
One female resident, approximately 53 years old, suffered burns over 80% of her body with 2nd and 3rd degree burns. She has been transported to Grady Emergency via Dawson County Emergency Services.
Investigators are on scene and the cause of the fire has not been determined.
