President Trump endorses Kemp for governor

DAWSONVILLE, Ga. Presidential Donald Trump took to Twitter today to let Georgia voters know that he supports Secretary of State Brian Kemp to become the state’s next governor.

“Brian is tough on crime, strong on the border and illegal immigration. He loves our Military and our Vets and protects our Second Amendment. I give him my full and total endorsement,” the president wrote.

The announcement came just two days after Kemp’s opponent, Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle, picked up the endorsement of outgoing Gov. Nathan Deal. Two other former gubernatorial candidates have also endorsed Kemp – Hunter Hill and Clay Tippins.
